Terms And Conditions – Recharge And Win Promotion
1. “Recharge and Win Promotion” (hereinafter referred to as the “Promotion”) is a promotion conducted by Ooredoo Maldives PLC (hereinafter referred to as ‘Ooredoo’) for its customers whereby 1 (one) weekly winner will be selected from among all Eligible Customers within each week and 1 (one) Grand Prize winner will be selected from among all Eligible Customers during the entire Promotional Period. Winners will be selected via lucky draws conducted by Ooredoo and the selected customers will receive the Benefits as specified hereunder.
The duration of the Promotion shall be from 00:00 hours of 6th November 2023 till 23:59 hours of 31st December 2023, (referred to herein as the “Promotional Period”).
The Promotional Period will be divided into 8 (eight) weeks as detailed below:
(a) Week 1 – 6th November 2023 to 12th November 2023
(b) Week 2 – 13th November 2023 to 19th November 2023
(c) Week 3 – 20h November 2023 to 26th November 2023
(d) Week 4 – 27th November 2023 to 3rd December 2023
(e) Week 5 – 4th December 2023 to 10th December 2023
(f) Week 6 – 11th December 2023 to 17th December 2023
(g) Week 7 – 18th December 2023 to 24th December 2023
(h) Week 8 – 25th December 2023 to 31st December 2023
Customers who satisfy all of the following conditions (referred to herein as ”Eligible Customers”) will be eligible for the Promotion:
(a) Customer must carry out a recharge transaction of MVR 20 (twenty Maldivian Rufiyaa) or more to recharge their Ooredoo Prepaid, Ooredoo Mix and/or Ooredoo Bill Control connection(s) during the Promotional Period.
(b) The recharge transaction(s) shall be carried out via Ooredoo’s digital channels specified below and recharge transactions carried out via any other channels will be excluded from this Promotion:
(i) Ooredoo SuperApp
(ii) Ooredoo Website
(iii) Ooredoo’s Quick Pay / Recharge Portal
Any form of recharge done in respect of the following connections shall not be considered as an Eligible Transaction and shall be excluded from the Promotion:
(i) Tourist Packs
(ii) Data Rate Plans
(iii) Connections registered to entities (not individual customers) and connections linked to business accounts
Each transaction that suffices all conditions specified under clause 4 shall be referred to herein as “Eligible Transaction”.
For avoidance of doubt, in respect of any Eligible Transaction, the Eligible Customer shall be the customer to whom the Ooredoo mobile number (referred to herein as “MSISDN”) in respect of which the recharge transaction was carried out, is registered to. For example, where Ooredoo SuperApp is used to carry out an Eligible Transaction in which the MSISDN +960 9XXXXXX is credited via the recharge transaction, then the Eligible Customer shall be the customer to whom the MSISDN +960 9XXXXXX is registered to.
Each weekly lucky draw shall only include Eligible Customers and their respective Eligible Transactions carried out within that week and the Grand Prize Lucky Draw shall include all Eligible Customers and their respective Eligible Transactions carried out over the entire Promotional Period.
Where a customer carries out more than 1 (one) Eligible Transaction during the Promotional Period, each such Eligible Transaction will be considered as an additional entry for the respective lucky draw. For example, if a customer carries out 1 (one) Eligible Transaction in Week 1 and 2 (two) Eligible Transactions in Week 2, then such customer will be counted, once for the lucky draw for Week 1, twice for the lucky draw for Week 2 and thrice for the lucky draw for the Grand Prize. However, each Eligible Transaction will be counted only once for the respective lucky draw, irrespective of the value of the transaction
After the end of each week during the Promotional Period, a lucky draw will be conducted by Ooredoo among all Eligible Customers. Each weekly lucky draw shall only include Eligible Customers and their respective Eligible Transactions carried out within that week and the Grand Prize lucky draw shall include all Eligible Customers and their respective Eligible Transactions carried out over the entire Promotional Period.
Each week’s lucky draw shall be conducted during the subsequent week and the Grand Prize lucky draw shall be conducted along with the lucky draw for Week 8. However, Ooredoo retains the sole discretion to vary the dates for the lucky draws.
The winners of the lucky draws conducted under this Promotion shall receive the following prizes (referred to herein as “Benefits”):
(a) Winner of Week 1 - 1 (one) Apple Mag Safe duo charger
(b) Winner of Week 2 - 1 (one) Instax mini 40
(c) Winner of Week 3 - 1 (one) Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
(d) Winner of Week 4 - 1 (one) Samsung Galaxy Watch 5
(e) Winner of Week 5 - 1 (one) Apple AirPods Pro Gen 2
(f) Winner of Week 6 - 1 (one) Garmin Venu® Sq – Music
(g) Winner of Week 7 - 1 (one) Huawei Watch Buds
(h) Winner of Week 8 - 1 (one) Apple Watch Series 8
(i) Winner of Grand Prize - 1 (one) iPhone 15 pro Max
The lucky draw may be held directly by Ooredoo or any other party as may be decided by Ooredoo in its sole and entire discretion.
In order to inform the winning customers of the lucky draw, Ooredoo is only required to call the mobile number (MSISDN) in respect of which the Eligible Transaction was carried out under this Promotion. Ooredoo will attempt to call the number on three different occasions. Where the customer is deemed unreachable or unresponsive at the sole discretion and opinion of Ooredoo, Ooredoo may decide to disregard the win entirely or award the win to another Eligible Customer as may be decided by Ooredoo in its sole and entire discretion.
The announcement of the lucky winner of the Promotion will be made at the sole and entire discretion of Ooredoo. By accepting the Benefits, the winning customers agree and consent to Ooredoo taking and utilizing pictures and videos of the customer for purposes of announcing the winners of the Promotion and for Ooredoo’s promotional and advertisement purposes thereafter.
Ooredoo has the right, in its sole and entire discretion to change the Benefits as it deems fit or cancel the Benefits offered entirely without any liability to its customers.
The terms and conditions of the Promotion as specified herein shall override any other communication received to a customer in relation to this Promotion, whether or not such is communicated to the customer by Ooredoo.
Ooredoo may at any time by its sole and entire discretion chose to suspend, revoke or terminate the Promotion without any liability whatsoever to any customer.
