Ooredoo has today announced the successful expansion of its 4G+ Network across the nation, bringing to life their vision of connecting all local communities to the socioeconomic opportunities opened up by high speed internet connectivity.

Ooredoo Maldives has listed as a public company today, announcing plans to sell part of its shares to local and international investors. Ooredoo has announced the deployment of its Nationwide Undersea Cable across the Maldives, with the cable being connected to its first landing station in Addu today.

The company initiated the $25,000,000 Nationwide Submarine Cable Project after receiving its ISP license in the Maldives last year.
Ooredoo’s Nationwide Undersea Cable will stretch across 1,200 km from north to south of Maldives with six landing stations in S.Hithadhoo, G.dh. Thinadhoo, M. Kolhufushi, B. Eydhafushi, and H.dh Kulhudhuffushi.
Powered by Huawei Marine’s advanced 100G technology, the cable will allow Ooredoo to greatly enhance quality of services and provide high speed internet services to all islands across the Maldives.
